Polish Defence Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz and German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius met in Warsaw on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, to discuss European security

issues, bilateral defence ties, and border protection. The meeting also covered preparations for NATO's upcoming summit in Washington.

According to a report from the Polish Radio’s IAR news agency, the Polish defence ministry highlighted the focus on "bilateral relations in defence and the security of the European Union and NATO."

Kosiniak-Kamysz and Pistorius specifically addressed the upcoming NATO summit scheduled for July 9 to 11 in Washington, as well as efforts to enhance border protection.

The discussions were part of the broader Polish-German intergovernmental consultations held in Warsaw.
