The US ambassador to Warsaw, Mark Brzezinski, expressed contentment over Poland's anticipated government change, foreseeing an amelioration in the country's rapport with the European

Union. He affirmed the expectation of an enhancement in the already robust Polish-American collaboration.

In an interview with RMF, Brzezinski highlighted the recent elections that resulted in Law and Justice (PiS), Poland's ruling party since 2015, losing its parliamentary majority. A coalition led by former European Council President Donald Tusk is poised to ascend to power soon, aiming to mend the strained ties between Poland and the EU, a move warmly received by the United States.

"We are delighted with the burgeoning rapport between Poland and Brussels," Brzezinski stated. "We ardently desire Poland to cultivate robust and normalized relations with Brussels."

Asserting the current deficiency in strength and normalcy in the bond, Brzezinski emphasized that Donald Tusk's appointment as prime minister signifies a strategic opportunity to fortify Poland's ties with Brussels.

The ambassador underscored that improving relations with the EU and Germany would also bolster Poland's affiliation with Ukraine, an aspect seen favorably by the Biden administration in these challenging times.

Brzezinski lauded the ongoing strong collaboration between the US and Poland, emphasizing an expectation for further amplification. He affirmed the commitment of the United States to collaborate with any Polish government.

Poland's relations with the US have been robust under PiS, stretching across the administrations of Donald Trump and Joe Biden. Recent advancements include the establishment of the first permanent US military base in Poland and lucrative military hardware procurement deals.

Brzezinski expressed optimism that the ongoing collaborations, especially in building Poland's nuclear power plants, would persist under the new government.
