The political party "UDAR of Vitali Klitschko" has been granted the status of an associated member of the European People's Party.

The decision to elevate "UDAR of Vitali Klitschko" from observer status to associated member was unanimously approved during the Political Assembly of the European People's Party in Helsinki. This was reported by the press service of UDAR, citing the website of the European People's Party.

"The consolidated support of the European community for our aspirations to protect the main values of the civilized world - freedom and democracy - has found its reflection in the elevation of the status of the party 'UDAR' from observer to associated member of the EPP," commented Vitali Klitschko, leader of UDAR, on the decision of the European People's Party.

He also noted that "UDAR" has now become a full-fledged member of the European People's Party family.

"I am grateful to the great family of the European People's Party for trusting and believing in us. This is the best assessment from the European community of our activities on Ukraine's path to the EU," said Vitali Klitschko, leader of UDAR.

The European People's Party (EPP) is a united political party founded in 1976. The EPP is the largest pan-European political party, consisting of 83 parties and partners from 43 countries. Representatives of the EPP include the current President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola. The party also includes nine heads of state or government from EU countries and three heads of state or government from non-EU countries, nine members of the European Commission, and others.
