Poland is set to release an emergency preparedness guide to help citizens navigate crises, including war and natural disasters.

The guide will be available online by the end of April, with printed copies distributed to households nationwide by the end of 2025. According to Robert Klonowski, Deputy Director of the Department of Civil Protection and Crisis Management at the Ministry of the Interior, the publication draws inspiration from similar brochures issued in 23 countries.

Spanning 20 to 30 pages and featuring rich illustrations, the guide aims to equip Polish civilians with essential survival knowledge for at least 72 hours during emergencies. It will cover various scenarios, including power outages, fires, lightning strikes, and war-related threats.

The first batch of printed copies is expected to be ready by September. Photo by Tomek320, Wikimedia commons.
