During the two weekends of the Tomorrowland festival in Boom, Antwerp province, authorities apprehended a total of 29 suspected drug dealers on and around the

festival site, according to the Antwerp public prosecutor's office. These suspects are scheduled to appear in court during special hearings this autumn.

The detainees include individuals from Belgium, the Netherlands, the UK, Spain, Colombia, Ukraine, Latvia, Serbia, Sweden, Brazil, Canada, Germany, and Mexico. The special court sessions in Antwerp are set for 30 October and 16 December.

In addition to those caught with dealer quantities of drugs, 466 individuals were found with amounts intended for personal use. These individuals were offered immediate out-of-court settlements, totaling 124,050 euros. All confiscated drugs were seized.

For the first time, the National Institute of Criminalistics and Criminology conducted on-site testing of the confiscated drugs. A total of 880 samples were analyzed, with MDMA, ketamine, and cocaine being the most frequently detected substances. Photo by Reelikar, Wikimedia commons.
