On May 14, 2023, the 67th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest took place in Liverpool, UK, where Sweden's Loreen emerged as the winner with her song 'Tattoo'.
She had already won Eurovision in 2012 and was considered the favorite of the contest.
Finland came second, and Israel took the third place. Gustaph from Belgium secured the 7th position, which is the best Belgian performance since 2017. It is also the second-best performance of a Flemish artist after Tom Dice's sixth place in 2010. The contest was initially to be hosted by Ukraine, last year's winner, but due to the ongoing war, the country dropped out of hosting the event. Photo by Jan Ainali, Wikimedia commons.
