In preparation for Prince Christian's 18th birthday, he and Crown Prince Frederik visited Christiansborg Palace on Wednesday.
During their visit, they received a guided tour from the Speaker of the Parliament, Søren Gade (V).
The Royal House's communication department informed Ritzau that "the Crown Prince and Prince Christian are currently visiting a number of central state institutions as part of the preparations for the prince's 18th birthday."
According to Ekstra Bladet, the visit to Christiansborg on Wednesday was followed by a TV crew from DR.
"We are in training," Crown Prince Frederik briefly stated to the newspaper.
The Royal House has not disclosed which other central state institutions are involved.
Prince Christian will turn 18 on October 15.
On November 14, he will participate in his first Council of State meeting. This is a meeting between the Prime Minister and other ministers, as well as Queen Margrethe, held regularly where the Queen signs laws passed by the Parliament.
During the Council of State meeting, Prince Christian will "make a solemn declaration to uphold the constitution," as previously announced by the Royal House.
"Afterwards, Prince Christian can be appointed Regent. Prince Christian will not have a seat in the Council of State until a change of throne has taken place," the Royal House stated further in a press release on August 8 regarding the prince's upcoming 18th birthday.
If the Queen cannot attend a Council of State meeting, a substitute will step in.
The substitute can be a Regent, which Prince Christian can be appointed as after the Council of State meeting.
