According to Poland's state-run statistics office, the country recorded a trade surplus of roughly EUR 4.9 billion during the first two months of this year. From January to
February, Poland's exports amounted to EUR 57 billion, while imports totaled EUR 52.1 billion.
GUS reported a 13% increase in Poland's exports in zloty terms at current prices for January and February, compared to the same period in 2022, and a 1% year-on-year growth in imports. Germany, the Czech Republic, and France were Poland's main export markets for the first two months of 2023, while Germany, China, and Italy were the country's biggest import markets.
Last year, Poland ended with a trade deficit of about EUR 19.8 billion, with exports and imports amounting to EUR 343.8 billion and EUR 363.7 billion, respectively. Photo by Reinhold Möller, Wikimedia commons.
