Princess Amalia is set to receive an annual allowance of 1.6 million euros starting next year, according to the budget from Prime Minister Dick Schoof's General Affairs

Ministry, presented on Tuesday. This allowance will cover her personal and material expenses.

Amalia has been receiving this compensation for several years but announced earlier this year that she will stop voluntarily returning it to the treasury in 2025.

In addition to this allowance, which is classified as the B-component of her salary, she is also entitled to an income of 345,000 euros (the A-component). However, she will continue returning this income while she remains a student. Amalia is currently pursuing studies in Politics, Psychology, Law, and Economics at the University of Amsterdam.

Currently, four members of the Dutch royal family receive allowances: King Willem-Alexander, Queen Maxima, Princess Beatrix, and Princess Amalia. In 2025, they will collectively receive 12.4 million euros, up from 11.6 million euros this year.

The total budget for the Royal House next year is projected at 58.9 million euros, 3 million euros more than the previous year, which includes funding for the Royal Household staff. Photo by Ian Jones, Wikimedia commons.
