The 19th informal summit of leaders from German-speaking nations is set to take place in Brussels and Eupen over Monday and Tuesday. It marks the second time Belgium

has hosted this summit.

Upon the invitation of King Philippe and Queen Mathilde, Belgium will welcome five heads of state along with their partners. The attendees include Hereditary Prince Alois of Liechtenstein, Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg, German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen, and Swiss President Alain Berset.

The summit's agenda includes a working meeting focusing on space at the Palace of Laeken on Monday. Astronauts Alexander Gerst, Carmen Possnig, Matthias Maurer, and Samantha Cristoforetti will participate in this session. The day will conclude with a concert by the Young Belgian Strings orchestra.

On the following day, leaders will journey to German-speaking East Belgium. They will visit Kabelwerk Eupen AG, a family-owned company operating in the cable, plastic, and foam industries. Concurrently, their spouses will tour the food manufacturer Conserverie et Moutarderie Belge in Raeren, near the German border.
