Transavia, a Dutch low-cost airline, is expanding its network from Brussels Airport to include four popular destinations in Spain and Greece. The airline will now offer flights to Malaga, Santorini,

Seville, and Tenerife from Brussels. This move comes in response to a growing demand for affordable holiday flights from the Belgian airport, especially among passengers from the south of the Netherlands.

Transavia began flying from Brussels in the summer of 2022 and has since received positive feedback from customers. Marcel de Nooijer, CEO of Transavia, expressed his excitement about the new destinations, saying, “We notice that some of our customers like to opt for a flight from Brussels Airport. By adding a number of great new destinations, we offer even more choice to our Brussels customers.”

The airline's decision to expand its network is also in line with its ambition to play a major role in the holiday flights market in the region. “We have seen that the Transavia product has been very well received in Brussels and this corresponds to Transavia’s ambition to play a major role in the offer of holiday flights from the region," added de Nooijer.

Currently, Transavia offers flights from Brussels to Salzburg, Innsbruck, Tenerife, Alicante, and Faro. Next summer, the airline will also fly to Zakynthos, Ibiza, Heraklion, Alicante, and Faro. With the addition of Malaga, Santorini, Seville, and Tenerife to its network, Transavia will provide even more options for travelers looking to soak up the sun or enjoy a winter break.

Malaga is a popular destination among tourists for its beautiful beaches, lively nightlife, and rich cultural heritage. Santorini, a Greek island known for its breathtaking views, picturesque villages, and stunning sunsets, is a perfect spot for a romantic getaway. Seville, the capital of Andalusia, is famous for its vibrant Flamenco culture, historic landmarks, and delicious food. Finally, Tenerife, the largest of the Canary Islands, offers warm weather, sandy beaches, and plenty of activities for both families and solo travelers.
