Ikea Portugal reported total sales of €611 million for the fiscal year 2023, concluding on August 31st. This represents a robust growth of 10.8% compared to the €552 million generated in the
same period the previous year, surpassing the global pace of the group.
Helen Duphorn, the leader of the Swedish chain in Portugal, noted that Ikea Portugal's sales mirror the growing significance of the home in people's lives and underscore the company's ongoing commitment to enhancing the customer shopping experience.
Despite external challenges and the current climate of economic and geopolitical uncertainty, Ikea Portugal affirms its unwavering dedication to its strategy in the country. The brand has allocated €60 million for investment in Portugal during the 2024 fiscal year, commencing on September 1, which also marks its 20th anniversary in the country.
A significant portion of this investment will be geared towards price reductions. Building on the strong performance in the fiscal year 2023, Ikea Portugal recently announced a €13 million investment to lower the prices of its products throughout the ongoing fiscal year.
