The Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland (KRASP), an influential academic organization, has issued a compelling appeal for the establishment of a dedicated and robust

ministry exclusively focused on science and higher education. This call was made public through an official press release from KRASP's office.

During the Plenary Assembly held in Łódź on October 27, KRASP adopted a resolution emphasizing the vital role of the academic community in Poland's national economic progress and its international reputation. The resolution underscored that "the potential of the academic community is an essential cornerstone for the advancement of the national economy and the elevation of our country's international standing."

KRASP is urging the new ministry to be endowed with substantial financial resources to promote scientific research and facilitate the practical implementation of research outcomes within the national economy. This reveals KRASP's vision of a ministry that not only oversees educational policies but actively engages in connecting academia with industry and the broader economic landscape.

This call aligns with similar appeals from prominent figures within the Polish scientific community, including the President of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Chairman of the Main Council of Science and Higher Education. They, too, have proposed the creation of two separate ministries: one dedicated to science and higher education and another responsible for general education, effectively replacing the existing Ministry of Education and Science.
