Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni announced the signing of 40 new agreements with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) following a meeting with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al
Nahyan in Rome on Monday.
Speaking at the Italy-UAE Business Forum at the Parco dei Principi hotel after their discussions at Palazzo Chigi, Meloni described the occasion as a landmark moment for bilateral relations.
"I consider this a historic day," the premier stated. "Sometimes, this term is used lightly, but in this case, it is entirely appropriate. This Business Forum represents a key milestone in the partnership between our nations during the first-ever State visit of a UAE President to Italy."
Meloni emphasized that both countries are committed to elevating their cooperation to unprecedented levels.
"Today, we have signed over 40 bilateral agreements, marking a significant step forward," she said. "This is not just a milestone but a fresh starting point in our collaboration, setting the stage for a deeper and more dynamic partnership."
