According to Bild analyst Julian Röpcke, the video of the strike clearly shows a Russian Kh-101 missile launched from a strategic Tu-95 bomber. The footage clearly indicates that the warhead was not intercepted by Ukrainian air defense, did not deviate from its target, and did not break into fragments but flew directly towards the hospital.

"Russia struck the toxicology wing of the children's hospital 'Okhmatdyt.' No air defense missile affected its flight trajectory. This is further evidence of a deliberate Russian attack, possibly from a Tu-95 over the Caspian Sea, which launched several Kh-101 cruise missiles towards Kyiv," writes Röpcke.

He also notes that, in addition to "Okhmatdyt," another medical center in the Dniprovskyi district of Kyiv was affected. He suggests that this might have been a planned strike on medical facilities, and the Western-supplied air defense systems could not prevent it.

"The capital's air defense has reached its limit. Next winter, Ukraine will have neither electricity nor heat. Our political leaders have made a terrible miscalculation. It wasn't just one Russian missile that pierced the 'defensive umbrella' over the capital, consisting of Patriot, IRIS-T, and other systems, but at least 10. Either Kyiv has no more missiles, or the air defense systems themselves have become targets. In any case, it's a disaster," notes Röpcke.
