Ukraine's Prosecutor General revealed over 109,000 documented instances of alleged Russian war crimes, shedding light on a distressing panorama of atrocities. These findings, presented at
the International Security Forum in Halifax, Canada, underscore the gravity of the situation, demanding an innovative approach to investigate and bring perpetrators to justice.
The allegations primarily involve crimes against humanity, notably the horrific mass killings in Bucha, near Kyiv. Moreover, there are over 250 reported cases of environmental crimes and four instances of cyber-related offenses linked to this conflict.
Among the distressing statistics, more than 400 individuals have been identified as suspects in these war crimes. Of these, approximately 300 have faced charges, resulting in 66 convictions, as per Kostin's statement. Photo by Oleksandr Ratushniak, Wikimedia commons.
