According to Poland's state-run Statistics Poland agency (GUS), the unemployment rate in the country reached 5.0 percent in June. This figure shows a decline from the 5.1 percent rate
recorded in May, as reported by Polish Radio's IAR news agency.
The June unemployment rate of 5.0 percent aligns with an earlier flash estimate provided by the Ministry of Family and Social Policy.
In specific numbers, 783,500 individuals were registered as unemployed across the nation in June, marking a decrease from the 802,300 unemployed individuals in May.
It's worth noting that the European Union's Eurostat statistics agency, which uses a different methodology, estimated a modest unemployment rate of 2.7 percent for Poland in May, unchanged from April. This rate was the second-lowest among the 27-nation bloc.
