French President Emmanuel Macron revealed plans to bolster military aid to Ukraine, stating that France will supply 40 long-range missiles, along with several hundred bombs. Macron made the
announcement during a press conference in Paris on Tuesday, emphasizing the importance of reinforcing Ukraine's defense capabilities amid the ongoing Russian invasion.
Macron disclosed that a bilateral security agreement with Ukraine is in its final stages, expressing his intent to sign the pact during an upcoming visit to Kyiv next month. Last week, Ukraine and Britain had already signed a similar bilateral security agreement.
In addition to the missiles and bombs, France will dispatch more Caesar self-propelled howitzers to Ukraine and continue providing training to Ukrainian troops. Macron emphasized France's commitment to assisting Ukraine in holding the front line and safeguarding its skies against the Russian invasion.
The French president underscored the significance of countering the threat posed by Russia's actions in Ukraine, describing it as "the biggest current threat to France." Macron warned of potential repercussions, stating that a victory for the Kremlin could jeopardize international order and pose a risk to countries such as the Baltic states, Poland, and Romania.
