In Denmark, two Thai women were arrested during brothel inspections conducted by the East Jutland Police Immigration Section, part of a broader initiative targeting illegal activities in
massage clinics. The arrests have sparked a human trafficking investigation.
According to the East Jutland Police’s daily report, inspections took place at two separate massage clinics in Randers and Grenaa. The first inspection, held in Randers, focused on identifying individuals living in Denmark without legal work permits. Here, officers found two foreign nationals, including a 39-year-old Thai woman whose Schengen visa had expired, leading to charges of illegal residency.
At the second inspection site in Grenaa, police discovered two Thai women in another massage clinic. One of them, a 36-year-old, was unable to provide a valid residence permit and was also charged with illegal residency.
Both cases have been referred to the Center Against Human Trafficking, where authorities will evaluate if the women may have been trafficked. Meanwhile, the Danish Immigration Service will determine whether they should face deportation.
