A recent study conducted by property classifieds website Immoweb reveals that the most expensive streets in Belgium are concentrated in the capital region of Brussels. Surprisingly,
the top-ranked street in Flanders is located in Ghent.
The comprehensive study examined the pricing trends in the 12 largest Belgian cities, uncovering that all 26 of the priciest streets are nestled within the Brussels-Capital Region. Topping the list is Kasteeltjeslaan, situated in the municipality of Uccle, commanding a hefty price tag of 5,569 euros per square meter.
Following closely behind is Dalstraat in Brussels's city center, boasting a property cost of 5,475 euros per square meter, securing its spot in second place. Meanwhile, Korporaaldreef in Uccle clinches the third position, with property prices averaging 5,439 euros per square meter.
Venturing into Flanders, Vogelmarkt in Ghent emerges as the 27th most expensive street, demanding a significant investment of 4,975 euros per square meter. Conversely, Rue Saint-Jean in Namur claims the title of the priciest street in Wallonia, albeit at a notably lower price point of 2,921 euros per square meter.
For those seeking more affordable options, the study also identifies Egelstraat in Hasselt as the cheapest urban street in Flanders, with properties priced at a modest 1,826 euros per square meter.
