In 2024, Poland's national airline, LOT, is gearing up for an array of new ventures, bringing three fresh routes into operation, amplifying flight frequencies on specific destinations, and marking
a comeback to China's newest airport, reported the Polish Radio IAR news agency.
After a hiatus lasting nearly four years, LOT is set to recommence regular flights on the Warsaw-Athens route, with the inaugural departure scheduled for April 11, offering travelers a revived connection.
In another significant move on June 4, the airline plans to initiate its first flight to Saudi Arabia, introducing three weekly connections to Riyadh, the country's capital.
Furthermore, LOT aims to revive its regular flights to Beijing's Daxing Airport in June, intending to restore a link launched in early 2020 but temporarily suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The airline is committed to servicing this route four times a week.
Adding to their expanding network, LOT has decided to establish a regular connection from Warsaw to Tashkent, with the inaugural flight set for takeoff on February 23, connecting Poland to the capital of Uzbekistan.
To enhance connectivity, the carrier is eyeing an increase in flight frequencies to Tokyo, intending to elevate the current four flights per week to six starting in April.
Moreover, in April, the frequency of flights on the Warsaw-Seoul route will surge from four to six times a week, improving accessibility.
LOT aims to broaden its reach by augmenting flight frequencies to the capital cities of Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan - Tbilisi, Yerevan, and Baku, respectively.
Looking ahead to the summer season, LOT plans to introduce several direct connections from Radom Airport, situated around 100 km from Warsaw. These connections will offer travelers access to destinations such as Preveza in Greece and Tirana, the capital of Albania, enriching travel options for explorers.
