While passenger numbers soared, the volume of cargo transported experienced a slight decrease of 1% in August, totaling 49,189 tonnes. Connection to Nairobi:

Brussels Airlines has unveiled plans to introduce an Airbus A330, reinstating the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, to its network in June. After a nine-year hiatus, flights between Brussels and Nairobi will operate six times a week during the summer and four times a week during the winter.

Dorothea von Boxberg, CEO of Brussels Airlines, emphasized the significance of this addition, stating, "This is a clear sign of confidence from the Lufthansa Group and also strengthens our position as the hub to Africa within the Group."
