As reported by officials, Zofia ranked as the most favored name for baby girls in Poland during the first half of this year, while Nikodem took the lead as the preferred choice
for baby boys. Nikodem has surpassed Antoni to become the most popular name among baby boys in Poland. Meanwhile, Zofia remains the top choice for baby girls.
Next in line for girls were Zuzanna and Laura, while Antoni and Jan rounded out the top three names for boys, as indicated by the digital policy department at the Polish Prime Minister's Office.
Among other girl names gaining popularity in Poland in the initial six months of 2023 were Hanna, Maja, and Julia, while Aleksander, Franciszek, and Leon were among the favored selections for boys. In the previous year, Antoni held the number one spot for boys' names, with Jan following closely behind.
