The Danish government has pledged a substantial military aid package worth $522 million to Ukraine, which includes T-72EA tanks, BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicles, artillery shells, drones, and

small arms, according to the Kyiv Independent newspaper.

Denmark's Foreign Minister, Lars Lokke Rasmussen, emphasized the importance of this support, stating, "Today's donation confirms that Ukraine can count on Denmark's unwavering support in their fight for freedom. This is support that is crucial for Ukraine to continue the fight." He also noted that the aid sends a significant signal to both Ukraine and Russia that Denmark remains committed, despite global attention being diverted to other conflicts.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed his gratitude, saying, "I thank Denmark for its unfaltering support and the 13th military aid package worth $522 million. Such timely assistance adds strength to Ukraine and ensures the defense of our common values."

This substantial aid package demonstrates Denmark's consistent backing of Ukraine, with a total of $2.3 billion in military assistance and $354 million in civilian contributions provided since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion.

Denmark and Ukraine have also been exploring ways to enhance Ukraine's air defenses, including modern fighter jets and air defense systems, as they continue their partnership.
