The EPP Group takes note of the decision of Maria Arena MEP to resign from the function of Chair of the Human Rights Sub-Committee (DROI). This will allow the Members of the committee
to resume their work in a more serene atmosphere.
“The EPP Group has always defended human rights worldwide and considers the work of the DROI Committee as highly important. This is why it was necessary that this situation be clarified so that the committee can work in a more serene atmosphere”, says Isabel Wiseler-Lima MEP, EPP Group Spokeswoman on Human Rights.
