The Polish population will be engaged in a national referendum to voice their stance on the potential sale of state-owned enterprises, as declared by the leader of the governing conservatives.

Poland's Deputy Prime Minister, Jarosław Kaczyński, revealed this inquiry in a video message shared on social media, reported the polskieradio24.pl website of the public broadcaster, Polish Radio.

The plebiscite is designed to encompass four questions, with the remaining three expected to be unveiled successively on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, as per the Polish state news agency PAP. In a Facebook video, Jarosław Kaczyński, who heads the Law and Justice (PiS) party, the ruling conservative force in Poland, stated, "The inaugural question will be as follows: 'Do you endorse the sale of state-owned companies?'"

Additionally, he indicated that the opposition Civic Coalition (KO), led by former Prime Minister Donald Tusk, harbored intentions to divest state-run enterprises. Kaczyński, also serving as a deputy prime minister, conveyed to the electorate, "We are not prepared to embrace this proposition.

You will determine whether the legacy of generations remains within Polish control." Earlier, on the 15th of June, Kaczyński had conveyed his intentions in parliament to orchestrate a national referendum concerning the European Union's proposed fresh migration policy. Polish authorities characterize the proposal as a "forced relocation" of migrants across member states, thereby "diminishing Polish sovereignty," according to Kaczyński's statements before parliament.

On the 3rd of July, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki disclosed the ruling conservatives' intention to conduct a referendum on the EU's suggested migration agreement, coinciding with the forthcoming parliamentary elections, now scheduled for the 15th of October.
