Unemployment in Poland remained stable at 5% in July, maintaining the same rate as in June, as reported by the country's statistics office on Thursday.
The July unemployment figure of 5% aligns with the earlier estimate provided by the government. According to the state-run Statistics Poland (GUS) office, there were approximately 782,400 individuals without jobs in the country at the close of July, slightly lower than the 783,500 recorded the previous month.
Earlier this month, the state-run statistics agency revealed that employment within Polish companies experienced a marginal increase of 0.1% on average in year-on-year comparisons for July.
Using a distinct methodology, the European Union's Eurostat statistics agency reported that Poland's unemployment rate was at a modest 2.7% in June, consistent with the rates of May. This places Poland among the nations with one of the lowest unemployment rates within the 27-member bloc. Photo by Adrian Grycuk, Wikimedia commons.
