Starting from Monday, a total of 83 Belgian companies will participate in the 54th Salon International de l'aéronautique et de l'espace de Paris-Le Bourget (SIAE). The Belgian Aerospace

interregional pavilion at the event will be the largest ever.

The majority of the participating companies come from Wallonia and Brussels, while Flanders is also well-represented with 24 companies. These companies specialize in various areas such as insulation techniques, simulators, and software applications.

Throughout the fair, several theme days have been scheduled. On Monday, Flemish Prime Minister Jan Jambon will attend SIAE for the opening ceremony of 'Flemish Day,' organized by Flanders Investment & Trade (FIT). He will be accompanied by Joy Donné, CEO of FIT, and Jolyce Demely, Director General of Agoria Flanders, an organization that supports companies in developing and promoting sustainable solutions.

Belgian Day is set to take place on Wednesday, June 21. It will be attended by Willy Borsus, the Walloon Minister for the Economy, and Thomas Dermine, the Federal Secretary of State for Relance. Ludivine Dedonder, the Minister of Defence, and Adrien Dollimont, the Walloon Minister for Airports, will also be present on this occasion.

The biennial trade fair, which made its return in 2019, spans an area of 125,000 square meters and features 2,500 exhibitors and 158 aircraft, including passenger jets, private jets, fighter jets, and some from the World War II era.

Approximately 320,000 visitors are expected to attend the show from June 19 to June 25. The first four days are reserved for industry professionals, after which the general public is welcome to explore the event. Photo by Clemens Vasters from Viersen, Germany, Germany, Wikimedia commons.
