Germany will continue to supply weapons to Israel, Chancellor Olaf Scholz confirmed during a parliamentary debate. Scholz emphasized that arms deliveries will persist, stating,
"We have delivered arms, and we will deliver arms," while addressing German MPs.
The Chancellor noted that the German government has made decisions ensuring future deliveries, although he did not specify the exact scope of the arms to be sent. His comments come amid criticism from some political parties that have accused the governing coalition of not providing enough support for Israel.
CDU leader Friedrich Merz criticized the government, claiming that export licenses for ammunition and spare tank parts had been delayed for "weeks and months." Merz also reported that many companies had submitted written complaints, stating their license applications had gone unprocessed by the government.
