President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, following his re-election in the May 28 polls, is embarking on his first foreign visits to Turkish Cyprus and Azerbaijan. The primary objective of these visits is to
discuss bilateral ties and explore opportunities for enhanced cooperation.
On June 12, Erdoğan will meet with Turkish Cypriot President Ersin Tatar and Prime Minister Ünal Üstel during his visit to Turkish Cyprus. The agenda includes a one-on-one meeting, a working lunch, and a joint press conference at the Presidential Palace in Nicosia. Discussions will cover various aspects of bilateral relations as well as the latest developments in the eastern Mediterranean region.
The following day, on June 13, Erdoğan will visit Baku, where he is scheduled to meet with Azerbaijani President İlham Aliyev. The meeting aims to facilitate an exchange of perspectives on regional and international affairs, including strategies for advancing bilateral relations and cooperation between the two nations.
Earlier, on June 10, Erdoğan held meetings with UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin and FIFA President Gianni Infantino, who were in Turkey for the UEFA Champions League Final. These closed-door discussions took place at the State Guest House at Atatürk Airport. Additionally, Erdoğan met with Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the United Arab Emirates, during his visit.
